Heaven on Earth: Antalya is a holiday paradise that offering all kinds of facilities to its guests with its sea, nature, history, art and entertainment activities. Antalya is the place that has the highest number of ancient cities in Turkey. It has been home to most of the civilizations starting from Lycians, Lydians, Pamphylia, Pergamon, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks and Ottomans. Therefore, Antalya has traces from every civilization.
Antalya Castle, built in Roman times and Alanya Castle, one of the best preserved medieval castles, has been used for defense and administration by different civilizations for centuries. In addition, the Santa Claus church in Demre also provides faith tourism.
The ancient cities in Antalya are: Simena Ancient City, which can only be reached from the sea; the Aspendos Ancient City, which has the best protected Roman theater in the Mediterranean region; Myra Ancient City is one of the largest cities of Lycia and the place where St. Nicholas was the bishop of Anatolia; Perge Ancient City, which is one of the most organized Roman cities in Anatolia.
When Konyaaltı Beach, Kaputas Beach, Cleopatra Beach, Olympos Beach that located in the ancient city of Olympos and the beaches in Kemer district supports sea tourism; Manavgat Waterfall, Duden Waterfall, Goynuk Canyon, Kekova Island, Saklıkent Canyon, Koprulu Canyon, Damlatas Cave supports nature tourism in Antalya.
The food culture varies in Antalya, which is influenced by Mediterranean and nomadic cuisine. In this kitchen, which is influenced by the cultures around it, mostly vegetable dishes are in the foreground.
