Rize
Rize, where the rain does not stop, is one of the important provinces of the Black Sea with its great nature and rich culture. Forests with endemic species, high plateaus and agricultural activities allow ecotourism activities in this province.
Rainfalls in every season and high humidity keeps the city warm all the time. Rize’s soils, which is fed by these rains, is very suitable for the cultivation of agricultural products such as corn, persimmon, pear and mulberry, tea and tobacco.
Rize is suitable for plateau and nature tourism. Ayder Plateau, which is famous for it’s festivals and it’s thermal springs; Anzer Plateau which is famous for its honey; Elevit Plateau with its unique animal varieties and Pokut Plateau, which has a tremendous view, is one of the few plateau where nature tourism is done.
Kackar Mountains National Park where climbing and camping activities are performed; Fırtına Creek where rafting and jumping activities can be performed; Zilkale hidden in the mountains; Kible Mountain Mosque, which enchants with its view and architecture; Sahin Hill, where the view of Rize can be seen, are among the interest points of Rize.
