SUNTAT is a brand name created by combining the syllables "SUN" and "TAT," each carrying distinct meanings. "SUN" represents Sungurlu, the hometown of the Baklan family, while "TAT" means "flavor" in Turkish. Thus, the brand symbolizes Mediterranean flavors, which remain the company's primary focus. Over time, the share of organic production has been increased based on the company's primary concern of protecting nature and the environment. Under the symbol of the rising sun, SUNTAT now sells more than 3,000 products in over 50 countries worldwide.

The group of companies has a total of six production sites, five of which are located in Turkey. Production and sales are also carried out at a total of six locations in Europe. The main and largest center in Europe, Mannheim BLG Brothers Lebensmittelhandelsgesellschaft mbH, is managed by Mustafa and Kadir Baklan.

Mustafa Baklan is also one of the founders of the Turkish Entrepreneurs Association Rhein-Neckar e.V. (TID), of which he is the honorary president. BLG Brothers Lebensmittelhandelsgesellschaft mbH is one of the largest food producers and distributors in Germany.
